Allegro Lokalnie — the fees, and when a buyer is actually protected

What does Allegro Lokalnie cost?

Posting a listing on Allegro Lokalnie is free, and the sale commission applies to only some listings. That distinction is the most important thing on this page, and it is what gets lost in the short answer "the commission on Allegro Lokalnie is 7.9%".

The price list has two columns, not one:

So:

• „Ogłoszenie lokalne" (an ordinary local listing) — 0 zł to post and 0 zł on sale. Free for the seller from start to finish.
• „Kup teraz" or an auction listing — 0 zł to post, but 7.9% of the item value on sale, or 4.9% in the Elektronika (electronics) category. The seller pays.

Allegro puts it in one sentence: „Opłatę za sprzedaż naliczymy w ogłoszeniach kup teraz i ogłoszeniu z licytacją" — the sale fee is charged on buy-now and auction listings.

There is a separate exception for vehicle categories — Samochody, Maszyny, Przyczepy i naczepy and Inne pojazdy i łodzie (cars, machinery, trailers, other vehicles and boats) have their own paid listing price list. If you are selling a car, "0 zł to post" does not apply to you.

When Allegro charges the commission

Not at the moment someone clicks „kup teraz". Allegro says so directly: „Samo kliknięcie przycisku kup teraz lub zakończenie licytacji nie spowoduje naliczenia opłaty" — merely clicking buy-now or ending an auction does not trigger the fee. It appears only once the buyer:

• pays for the item within 72 hours — for upfront payment, or
• fills in the delivery-options form — for cash on delivery or in-person collection.

If the seller refunds the buyer through Allegro, the commission goes back to the seller too.

Does Ochrona Kupujących work on Allegro Lokalnie?

Yes — but with a condition that is exactly the same line as the commission.

The same option the seller pays 7.9% for is the one that gives the buyer protection. A free local listing — the kind where you arrange everything directly — is not covered by Allegro Ochrona Kupujących. That is not a gap or a bug; it follows from the fact that on an ordinary local listing Allegro does not act as an intermediary in the transaction at all.

The protection can return up to 20 000 zł for failed purchases on Allegro or Allegro Lokalnie. Allegro usually reviews a claim in 2–3 business days, and after a positive decision usually sends the money within 3 to 7 business days.

What Ochrona Kupujących does not cover

This is the most surprising point — and the one that matters most on a local marketplace.

Paying cash at in-person collection is excluded from the protection. It is worth pausing on that, because meeting up and paying cash is the most natural way to transact on a local classifieds service — and it is precisely the method that leaves the buyer without recourse.

That does not make in-person collection a bad idea. It means protection and convenience pull in different directions here, and the choice is worth making deliberately: inspecting the item in person is a genuine advantage, but then your safeguard is the inspection, not Allegro. If you are buying something expensive or hard to check on the spot, „kup teraz" with payment through Allegro gives you a formal complaints route that cash does not.

The other exclusions are purchases made outside Allegro, a suspended account, unpaid dues, compensation already received from another source (credit-card insurance, for example), and simply not filing a claim.

How long you have to file

The window is from 14 days to 2 years — but in fairness it has to be said that two Allegro help pages anchor it to different moments:

• the Allegro Ochrona Kupujących page: „od 14 dnia do 2 lat od rozpoczęcia Dyskusji na Allegro lub Allegro Lokalnie" (from the start of the Discussion),
• the Allegro Lokalnie safety page: „wypełnij wniosek w czasie od 14 dni do 2 lat po zakupie" (after the purchase).

We read both on 18 September 2026 and both are live on their respective pages. We are not going to declare which one governs — the practical conclusion is that if you have a problem with a purchase, do not go anywhere near the deadline, because which moment counts as the starting point could mean weeks of difference. Allegro Lokalnie vs Allegro

Allegro Lokalnie is a separate service on its own domain, allegrolokalnie.pl — not a tab inside Allegro. What carries over and what does not:

• The account — the same. You sign in with your existing Allegro account; there is no separate registration.
• Ochrona Kupujących — the same programme, on the conditions described above (buy-now and auctions only).
• The price list — its own. On Allegro Lokalnie an ordinary listing is free, which is not something you can say about Allegro.

Checking a seller before you buy

Allegro states that „za każdym razem sprawdzamy i potwierdzamy dane, które sprzedający podaje podczas rejestracji konta" — it verifies the details a seller gives when registering an account — and that you can message a seller in the chat before buying to clear up any doubts. That is verification on the platform's side, though, not something visible to you in the listing.

In practice that leaves the buyer with ordinary care in reading the listing itself — and the warning signs are the same on every classifieds service. Does Dealmo search Allegro Lokalnie?

No. Dealmo searches allegro.pl — in the Elektronika (electronics) and Dom i Ogród (home and garden) categories. Allegro Lokalnie is a separate service, with its own domain and its own terms, and it is not covered by our search.
